Stray dogs in Moscow suburbs have learned how to commute using the subway. They take the train every morning into the city center, where there's more food to be had (a favorite maneuver is the shawarma fake-out, which entails sneaking up behind a guy who's just bought one and barking so the person drops it. Eating of the shawarma thus follows.), and then return each evening to the suburbs. Sometimes they miss their stops because they're sleeping, but they just get off at the next stop and catch a train back. And people wonder why I'm obsessed with dogs.
