Carven Fall 2012: A Charming Fashionista Stealing Medieval and Northern Renaissance Art

Vogue explained this collection as follows: "The fall collection Henry presented there was borne of the fantasy of a girl walking through a museum filled with sixteenth- and seventeenth-century art and stealing things off the walls and out of the display cases for her wardrobe. For instance, she may nick a Renaissance-era painting of women in colorful vestments working in the yard and wrap it around her like a short, flowy skirt. Or perhaps a rich, storied tapestry woven for royalty becomes a double-breasted coat with shogun-style lapels."  Isn't that charming?

Not sure which painter this is, but definitely northern renaissance!
